Peanut Butter Banana Kale Smoothie

I love breakfast.  Lezzbehonest, I think about breakfast before I go to bed.  I mean the quicker you go to sleep, the quicker you can eat again, right?  I have a few favorite breakfasts, and this smoothie has been in regular rotation.  There's something so refreshing and nourishing about getting all these nutrients in first thing in the morning.  Smoothies are really great anytime of day, there are so many yummy things you can cram in your blender, the possibilities are endless!

This Peanut Butter Banana Kale smoothie is
Creamy & cold
Just sweet enough
Full of good stuff
Lots of health fats
Satisfying
Natural protein boost
Loaded with calcium, vitamin A & C, fiber, potassium
Takes about 2 minutes to make
And just so YUM!

Kale is all the rage these days - and rightfully so! Eat a brownie - have a kale salad & yiu have a clear slate! Magic!   It's such a versatile veggie - eat it raw, drink it up, roast it, sauté it, come on kale you're showing off (and I'm not going to stop you) a superstar veggie. If the idea of drinking it totally grosses you out, start off slowly.  Add a date or drizzle of honey.  Or use spinach instead of kale, or half spinach half kale.

Onto the recipe!

Peanut Butter Banana Kale Smoothie
Serves 1

1 c unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 huge handful of kale, stem removed (can use spinach)
1 Tbsp chia seeds
1 frozen banana, sliced
1 heaping Tbsp of peanut butter

Blend first 3 together until there are no large green leaves.  Add banana & pb, blend until smooth.  Enjoy!
